Once a foundation in Matwork and/or Reformer programming has been established, this course is the next step in enhancing your exercise repertoire. Learn how to challenge clients to help them reach their conditioning goals, while diversifying programming and building workouts with impact on the Cadillac Trapeze Table.

ICAD prepares you to teach Level 1 (Essential and Intermediate) exercises on the Cadilac Trapeze Table. Learn to fine-tune personal and circuit training programs to meet a variety of client’s conditioning goals with 125 exercises plus modifications on the Cadillac.
What you will learn
Effective use of the equipment to enhance torso stability and strength, peripheral conditioning, joint stability, flexibility, balance and coordination.
How to develop dynamic programs in a full studio environment.
Effective communication and observation skills, verbal cueing and imagery for performance enhancement and client motivation.
Modifications for specific body types, postural issues and conditions.
Exercise layering related to effective program design.
To become better acquainted with the Cadillac as a tool to create complete workouts or as a complement to routines featuring Matwork and other equipment
To observe and experience a variety of exercises utilizing the Cadillac’s features including the Roll-Down Bar, Push-Thru Bar, Trapeze, Leg and Arm Springs
The goals of each exercise, biomechanics and alignment, as well as cueing and correcting for safety and effectiveness
How to apply the STOTT PILATES Five Basic Principles to a variety of exercises, variations and modifications
Familiarity with the safety guidelines and application of the equipment for a variety of clients

25 hours of instruction and supervised teachingMinimum of 10 hours of observation
Minimum of 15 hours of physical review
Minimum of 10 hours of practice teaching
Observation, Practice Teaching & Physical Review
A minimum number of hours of 10 observation, 10 practice teaching and 15 physical review are required for all courses and should be completed between instructed sessions at any STOTT PILATES® facility. Additional training may be required before certification. Practice teaching and physical review hours must be logged outside of class time and submitted at the time of the practical exam.
Physical ReviewMeans physically performing the exercises learned in class. Taking a class with a STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor or working out with video can qualify as physical review hours, and can be completed individually or with other students.
Practice Teaching Hours can be fulfilled by instructing family, fellow students, friends or clients.
