STOTT PILATES CADILLAC® Level 1 COURSE (ICAD)
Once a foundation in Matwork and/or Reformer programming has been established, this course is the next step in enhancing your exercise repertoire. Learn how to challenge clients to help them reach their conditioning goals, while diversifying programming and building workouts with impact on the Cadillac Trapeze Table.

What you will learn
The STOTT PILATES Cadillac Level 1 Course (ICAD) will prepare you to teach Level 1 (Essential and Intermediate) exercises on the Cadillac/Trapeze Table.
Learn to fine-tune personal and circuit training programs to meet a variety of client’s conditioning goals with 125 exercises plus multiple modifications on the Cadillac.
What you will learn
Effective use of the equipment to enhance torso stability and strength, peripheral conditioning, joint stability, flexibility, balance and coordination.
How to develop dynamic programs in a full studio environment.
Effective communication and observation skills, verbal cuing and imagery for performance enhancement and client motivation.
Modifications for specific body types, postural issues and conditions.
Exercise layering related to effective program design.
To become better acquainted with the Cadillac as a tool to create complete workouts or as a complement to routines featuring Matwork and other equipment
To observe and experience a variety of exercises utilizing the Cadillac’s features including the Roll-Down Bar, Push-Thru Bar, Trapeze, Leg and Arm Springs
The goals of each exercise, biomechanics and alignment, as well as cueing and correcting for safety and effectiveness
How to apply the STOTT PILATES Five Basic Principles to a variety of exercises, variations and modifications
Familiarity with the safety guidelines and application of the equipment for a variety of clients
Pre-requisites
Prior attendance at the STOTT PILATES Matwork + Props Level 1 Course (IMP) and/or the STOTT PILATES Reformer Level 1 (IR) Course/s.

Cadillac Level 1 Course (ICAD)
RRP: NZ$2,100 (incl. GST) + course materials.

After training, instructors can begin teaching clients as a ‘STOTT PILATES® Trained Instructor’. Upon certification instructors can advertise their ‘STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor’ status.
If you choose to become certified in the STOTT PILATES® method, you have 6 months from the last day of your course to sit your exam. If this time expires, you are required to book at least 1 hour with an Instructor Trainer to reinstate your eligibility.
Note: no additional post course costs are applicable to receive these requirements.
Requirements of certification
25 hours of instruction and supervised teaching (completed when attending the Cadillac Level 1 Course)
Minimum of 10 hours of observation
Minimum of 15 hours of physical review
Minimum of 10 hours of practice teaching
Total: 60 hours
Observation hours can be logged by observing a STOTT PILATES® Instructor Trainer or a certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor. If access to either is not possible due to location challenges, these hours can be logged by observing your course material DVDs supplied.
Physical review hours can be logged by practicing the course content yourself (or being taught by a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor)
Practice teaching hours are logged by teaching clients/friends/fellow students, etc.
