STOTT PILATES® BARRELS LEVEL 2 COURSE – (ABRL)

 

The addition of Barrels in the Advanced repertoire offers extensive programming possibilities in a full studio setting.  For extremely fit clients or those looking for an additional challenge, this course will provide the exercise diversity required.

  • What you will learn

    The STOTT PILATES® Barrels Level 2 Course (ABRL) begins with a review of relevant Essential and Intermediate exercises, then students learn to apply STOTT PILATES® biomechanical principles to exercises that require a higher degree of strength, balance and coordination. These courses can be taken immediately after the corresponding Level 1 course or as a series of courses.

    This 3 hour course held over one-day, equips you with 14 Advanced level exercises plus modifications using the Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector and Arc Barrel for the highly conditioned client.

    Instructors learn:

    • Effective use of the equipment to enhance torso stability and strength, peripheral conditioning, joint stability, flexibility, balance and coordination.

    • How to develop dynamic programs in a full studio environment.

    • Effective communication and observational skills, verbal cuing and imagery for performance enhancement and client motivation.

    • Modifications for specific body types, postural issues and conditions.

    • Exercise laying related to effective program design.

    Pre-requisites

    Prior attendance at the STOTT PILATES® Barrels Level 1 Course.

  • STOTT PILATES® Barrels Level 2 Course (ABRL)

    The STOTT PILATES® Barrels Level 2 Course (ABRL) involves 3 hours of instructor training conducted over 1/2 a day.

    • Day 1/1: Sunday 13 April 2025, 12.00pm-3.00pm

    Can’t attend all the group class time? Make up missed hours privately, i.e 5 hrs of missed group time = 2.5 hrs private one-on-one instructor training time. Conditions apply.

  • STOTT PILATES® Advanced Barrels Course | NZ$550 (incl GST)

    Note: No extra course materials are required.

    Terms: 20% deposit is required at time of registration to secure enrollment. Balance due one month prior to course commencing. Courses limited to 12 participants.

    Continued Education Credits: STOTT PILATES 0.3

  • After training, instructors can begin teaching clients as a ‘STOTT PILATES® Trained Instructor’.  Upon certification instructors can advertise their ‘STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor’ status.

    If you choose to become certified in the STOTT PILATES® method, you have 6 months from the last day of your course to sit your exam. If this time expires, you are required to book at least 1 hour with an Instructor Trainer to reinstate your eligibility.

    Note: no additional post course costs are applicable to receive these requirements.

    Requirements of certification

    • 3 hours of instruction and supervised teaching (completed when attending the STOTT PILATES® Barrels Level 2 Course)

    • Total: 3 hours
