STOTT PILATES Anatomy Review Workshop

This lecture, developed by the Merrithew™ team, is a review for those who already have functional anatomy knowledge. Topics include: basic biomechanics (levers, effects of gravitational force, effects of muscle force), anatomical terminology, skeletal anatomy, actions at the joints, major muscle groups and the muscles’ origin insertion and action. Select exercises from the STOTT PILATES® repertoire are also broken down and analyzed in terms of the functional anatomy at play. Participants will deepen their understanding of the body and enhance their teaching.


STOTT PILATES Postural Analysis Review Workshop

This hands-on workshop, developed by the Merrithew™ team, outlines the importance of postural analysis in programming STOTT PILATES® workouts. Discuss the differences between static and dynamic posture and consider how each affects exercise choices and modifications necessary. Review postural theory relating to the effect of certain postures on muscle length and strength and actively practice postural analysis.


STOTT PILATES Mini Stability Ball™ Workout Workshop

This energizing workout, developed by the Merrithew™ team, incorporates the 12-inch Mini Stability Ball™ to create total-body strengthening and conditioning. These exercises work on improving posture with a major focus on core stability and back mobility while also lengthening and strengthening the surrounding muscles. Keeping the elements of the STOTT PILATES Five Basic Principles in mind, learn how to add variety and fun to traditional Matwork routines.


STOTT PILATES Intense Sculpting Challenge – Flex-Band®, Level 4 Workshop

Build challenge and diversity with this intense Flex-Band® exerciser workshop, developed by the Merrithew™ team. Learn how to challenge core and peripheral strength with the resistance provided by the Flex-Band and increase exercise intensity in the areas of neuromuscular coordination, balance, strength and flexibility. This workout offers exercise variations and options to motivate any group or private client.
